The exhibition was planned in such a way as to combine the traditional format of trade fair events, with a substantive conference for specialists and machine shows at work outside. The organization of the event at the Służewiec Horse Racing Track in Warsaw enabled all these elements.
TRADITIONAL EXPOSITION CONNECTED WITH A SUBSTANTIVE CONFERENCE
The exhibition part was located in the grandstand building. Exhibitors located there were mainly companies offering seeds, substrates, peat, sprayers, gardening tools and other accessories. There was also a conference space in the hall, which was the venue of the 1st Greenery Manager Forum, organized jointly with the "Urban Green" magazine. The conference attracted considerable interest, the speakers presented issues in the field of tree protection policy, the possibility of installing green roofs on existing buildings, green strategies for cities, plant novelties for public space, standards for the landscape architecture industry and alternative fuels. In the area in front of the main entrance to the hall, there were shows of the Polish Arborist Federation throughout the day. Specialists showed how their work looks like "on trees" and gave dendrological and legal advice.
OUTDOOR AREA A PLACE OF DYNAMIC MACHINE SHOWS
During the entire duration of the Fair, live machine shows took place in the outer area. At each stand, new products for the 2020 season were presented. It was a great opportunity to talk to company representatives and learn about current trends. GREEN AREA SHOW provided exhibitors with an area where they could show their machines and devices at work. Visitors had the opportunity not only to hear information about the parameters, but above all to see how they work, and even test them yourself. Exhibitors emphasized that this form of presentation is the most attractive. Martyna Gościniak, assistant to the management board of Perfetto said, "The formula of the event encourages customers and guests to board machines that they knew only from marketing materials. They can confront this information with the real state. " Andrzej Grocholewski, commercial director of AL-KO, adds: "We were afraid that the weather would scare everyone, but it did not happen. We have customers all the time, and our sales representatives have their hands full. Many dealers come to us. Such an event is an absolute novelty and it is very good that it appeared "
PROVEN FORMAT THAT HAS BEEN LOST ON THE POLISH EXHIBITION
MARKET Exhibitors, when asked for an opinion on such an event formula, with live machine shows emphasized that this format is already proven on the world and European market and there was definitely no such event in Poland. They emphasized that it was also a great opportunity for them to confront their devices with the competition. They also had a lot of interesting observations and proposals for the future. "We will definitely want to use them and implement them so that the next editions are only better," emphasizes Paulina Maniecka, director of the GREEN AREA SHOW project. Zbigniew Słotwiński, Iseki machine seller sums up: "We had a lot of reports and conversations with clients. Usually they were representatives of service companies, municipal companies, companies maintaining green areas. Many customers were from Lower Silesia, Greater Poland and Mazovia. The event is very well advertised, which makes the range really impressive. Customers know exactly what they want, compare machines, ask about power and parameters. When it comes to practical field shows, this is the best form of promotion and sales. "
WE ARE OPEN TO THE YOUNG
To participate in the GREEN AREA SHOW event, we invited students of specialized schools, technicians of landscape architecture and gardening schools. In the future, they will shape green in cities, which is why we want to enable them to meet industry leaders and obtain information on the latest and innovative technologies and solutions available on the market.
